Attire that enhances your costuming image and the story becomes wearable.
WampaWear is a northern Colorado home-based company founded by entrepreneur Azman Sugi and his 15 year-old daughter Sara, in January of 2012.
We do not approach cosplay as replication. We approach it as translation by taking characters built in digital worlds and mythology-heavy franchises and figuring out how they actually exist on a human body. How they move. How they carry weight. How they feel when someone stands up straighter the moment they put them on.
Every costume is created from the ground up through our collaborative partnerships with several manufacturers from all over the world. At WampaWear, our costumes are not just screen accurate, they are tailored to move, breathe, and survive real use. The fabrics, raw materials, and patterns used are based on the knowledge, research, experience and skills from both WampaWear and our partners. If our costumes can not live outside a photoshoot, we are not interested.
We work across all fandoms, and all levels of ambition, but we do not do disposable builds. We do pieces meant to be inhabited and change how someone carries themselves the moment they step into the character. Because when a costume works, it does not just look right…..
It enhances your costuming image.
